Saturday March 4th
making your own instrument seemed to be today's theme, we met the Shepparton Festival's professional artists and they introduced us to the many ways that musical instruments can be made. seeing there were three instruments to choose from... i chose the easiest one, guilty here, although my artistic talent is little, i knew i couldn't fail with this one! our group's task was to make music using rubber bands and shoe boxes/shoe box lids. i must admit at first i felt like a child in art class, but when the instruments actually worked i felt fairly capable of creating music from scratch.
