Above is a photo of our Writers in Action team! Three of the people in the group are friends of mine from the Latrobe Shepparton Campus. Though the rest of the group contains new faces, and this is what made the subject so new and exciting to undertake. Having a group of lovely new faces to enjoy the Festival's events with was a privilege. Meeting new faces in our Latrobe community, and new faces from the wider Festival was another one of the glorious elements of this subject. Even the face of the photographer at the event became familiar, we then quickly learnt how to be "photo ready" when we seen his face. It was a great idea that the Shepparton Festival had a photographer follow the events and document them. Especially for those who couldn't make the events, such as my grandparents, and I was still able to show them all the excitement on screen due to the Festival's documenting team! The ideas and structure of the event was well thought of, it was enjoyable, innovative and enlightening overall. After meeting the coordinator of the Shepparton Festival we were more aware of how the events are put together and funded. It was obvious that a lot of work went into this, and it is vital that the helpers/partners of the Festival contribute from the beginning to the closing of the Festival.
